Titirangi Rudolf Steiner School welcomes international students as a valuable part of the school community.
Families who would like their children to attend the school while they are staying in West Auckland for a period of time and are willing to support the philosophy and values of Waldorf education are very welcome to apply.
Children younger than Class 7 must be living with their parents for the duration of their stay. Students from Class 7 to 12 can live with their parents, with designated care-givers or in school arranged homestays for the duration of their stay.
The Titirangi Rudolf Steiner School is small with a warm and vibrant school community situated in the Waitakere Ranges on the foreshore of the Manukau Harbour and the outskirts of Auckland City. Visit the News and Events and Community pages in the menu above for School and Parent Initiatives including links to local organisations.
The tuition fee for international students is $8,500 per annum plus gst (currently 15%). Please enquire for shorter visits.
Lessons for English For Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) are given if the Class Teacher deems necessary and are an additional cost. Each ESOL student receives up to three one period classes. These classes cover all four modes of English: Speaking, Listening, Reading and Writing and to a lesser extent Viewing. Grammar is taught across the four modes.
In addition, students are helped with their class work as the need arises. This can cover their English lessons with their class teacher or Main Lesson work including homework if they have not understood what is required.
The school is a signatory to the Code of Practice for the Pastoral Care of International Students.
To enquire please email the school.
