Adult Education
The school is a constant hive of activity both during and outside school hours. At the hub is the education of the child, however surrounding and supporting this we have an amazing array of learning opportunities for parents and the wider community. Thus we create a community of on-going learning and bring into practical life one of the tenets of Steiner education: 'to foster a life-long love of learning'.
Just as School brings an education for the children that looks to develop the head, heart and hands in a balanced and meaningful way, so too, we have lots of opportunities for parents and interested adults to also work with their heads, hearts and hands.
Talks and Events
Talks by various guest speakers on areas of interest indicated by parents and to further develop an understanding of the education are organised regularly. View upcoming talks. You can also view previous talks and events.

Craft and Artisan Workshops
We have a workshop coordinator volunteer who organises various workshops throughout the year. Examples of past workshops include felting, dollmaking, biodynamic gardening and cheesemaking. These usually take place on a Saturday.
Adult Eurythmy
Our Eurythmy teacher, Kimberle Haswell takes classes for adults on Tuesday and Friday mornings 9am-10.30am. Adult eurythmists have regularly presented performances to the public in collaboration with pupils as well as an adult group. In 2007 a collaboration of the adult eurythmists and Class 6 and 7 toured the upper North Island with 'The Fisherman and his Wife'. This year they travelled to the Kapiti coast with Class 7 to present 'The Ugly Duckling'.
Speech classes
Each term our speech teacher, Astrid Anderson, visits for a period of 4 weeks. She takes group lessons for adults twice per week as well as individual lessons. Contact Astrid: astrid.anderson@slingshot.co.nz or phone (06) 857-7113
Kindergarten Parents Study Group
Kindergarten assistants and parents are invited to join a Parent Study Group together with Kindergarteners for deepening knowledge of the Steiner approach at Kindergarten age, discussing any issues arising from their work with children and providing parent information with regular notice board articles.
The group is not currently meeting, but will resume at a later date. Please speak with Kathy in the Kindergarten if you are interested in attending.
Others
Craft Group and Woodwork Group meet weekly.
For anyone wishing to deepen their knowledge of Anthroposophy there are also Study Groups in the wider community.
